Hello.

I have a FIAT PUNTO 06 2.1L

I need to replace spark plugs and ignition leads however I am unable to pull the leads out. I have tried twisting, pulling and even with pliers with no success.

It's a tight spot but if anyone can help me that would be great.

Try custom pliers like that. Go as deep as you can (closest to the sparkplug). Try on hot and cold engine alternately. Pushing/pulling + twisting action, but no tilting/cocking off central axis (don't break the sparkplug).

Those pliers look great. As said, get them to grip as low down as possible, or better still, under the end of the boot.

The boots tend to grow onto the plugs, getting slightly sticky inside. When you pull, they stretch, which tightens them to the plugs. Often new leads are required at every service, sometimes due to fierce pulling and swearing. A sharp blade along them might help, if you can get a small scalpel (Modelling knife) down there without cutting yourself.

A light coat of silicone grease inside the boot helps removal next time.
