I recently bought a 2009 punto. One of my first jobs when I got the car was to sort out how to listen to music in the car whilst I’m driving. The car comes equipped with the blue and me system as well as an existing aux cable. I have read/been told that I cannot listen to music through aux with the blue and me system but cannot for the life of me work the thing. Is the there absolutely anything I can do to use the aux cable??

i use an aux cable too - but the trick is to get it to go to the "MEDIA" source input on the radio. You cant do that through buttons. :) Mine is a 2009 too, and i have a usb in the glove compartment :) here i insert a usb with nothing but ONE mp3 on it - called "silence". This makes it play nothing, but sort of kickstarts everything and then the aux cable can be used :D i uploaded my mp3 her:

easyupload .io/15099e

if you want it - you dont have to make your own then :)

OH - and the usb has to be formatted in either NTFS og FAT32 (dont remember which but i thinkg fat32) :) This is easy - put a usb in pc - find it next to your other drives - right click the usb drive - format. A small window shows up and you just have to choose the file format FAT32 and then press "quick format" :)

oh - and i dont know how your aux cable is connected - i connected mine myself - and i didnt splice it together with original iso cable - i just took out the original - meaning blue and me is ultimately useless to me :) i can connect to bluetooth - but i cant take calls - but i would also much rather have my music :D cant go without that
