Technical Injector or valve clearance?

So my action helped - "plastic" noise during acceleration isn't there now, that's great info for me. Engine is also more silent overall. High ticking on hot idle is still there, but sometimes it disappears for a while...but this is topic for another discussion. For now I'm happy and finaly I can check other things on this car

This topic should be about valve clearance, but ended with broken stud :) So I'll continue here:) Today I found small exhaust leak on silencer - thanx to my golden hands - I sprayed silencer 2 months ago with zinc spray, so I saw black leak on it easy. I applied Bosal paste on exhausts. During drying I sanded all rusty parts of lower chassis, especialy arms, and painted it with anti-corrosion agent. Tomorrow I'll aply black spray on it

No no, this was made by corrosion and when I putted rag into exhaust end, I heard leak, felt it by hand and saw big black carbon spot there. So this is fixed too, next will be front discs+pads replacement (Brembo), I loosened all screws before for easy&quick replacement. Plus check rear drum diameter & putting little bit of vaseline behind jaws (they are squeaking during brake pedal release)

Hi Midas,

can't you start a new thread, as newcomers wouldn't get lost in their search???

Bernie

Yes of course, or I can update threads with respective topic(s). This thread is real mix of everything... :)

Yes, this can be true...unfortunately history of engine is unknown :-( What is good is that after 1 year of using car (and my care :) ),ticking is less noticeable and comes only when I stop the car when engine is on operational temp. I believe that it will hold another 5 years, we make 10.000 km per year, maybe less. I'll make 2 engine flushes, using cheap 5w 40 synth oil next month to clean it as much I can. I dont believe that it solve ticking (but little hope is still here :) ), but I can sleep better with thought that engine is cleaner :)
