You just need wire. and soldering kit.
Cut at break.
Slide heat shrink sleeve over it.
2x blobs of soldèr..new wire into old loom.
Slide sleeve over new bit .Shrink.
same again until you are done.
Cost.. less than a tenner.
There are Kits for hatch wiring.. but sounds like your punto is just limping along... as is my mj.
Mirror.. could well be controlled by a broken wire..
