Hi Guys,

I've got a problem with my front passenger seat belt sensor - the car knows that someone is sat in the seat, but the sensor letting the car know that the seatbelt is plugged in isn't working, so when I get above like 10mph it starts beeping like nobody's business.

I don't want to bypass the sensor or shut off the alarm, so how easy is it to change the anchor to a working one? I've had a look and you can get one from a breakers yard for about £20.

Thanks!

It's pretty easy... but i'm not sure you can do it without removing the seat or the center console.
I'd say.. remove the seat...you have 4 torx bolts and a few electrical connectors.
Pull the seat out... see whee the wire goes.....check with multimeter (just to make sure that's the problem) unplug, replace.. job done

Having had the same issue I suggest simply spraying some good contact cleaner into the seatbelt anchor slot cleaning the switch inside. I had no more issues since I did that two years ago.

Why looking complicated, do it simple first, worth a try no ?

So I bought some contact cleaner and gave the slot a good old spray inside but unfortunately that's not solved the problem - is it possible a wire has come loose underneath the seat or something?
