Just bought the car dnt have no service tbh and no engine lights whatsoever, ? I topped up engine oil and i notice 2 tyres that are abit flat aswell as a cracked breather hose but i dnt see why dis would dramatically increase fuel consumption or will it ???????

First thing to do is to put some numbers on it. What does your trip computer show as an average? If you don't have one, fill the car to the brim and note the mileage. Drive it for at least 20 miles (50 would be better) and then fill to the brim again, noting how many litres you put in. Subtract the second mileage from the first to give the total number of miles travelled between fillups. divide the number of litres you put in by 4.55 (to give gallons) and then divide the number of miles by the number of gallons to give miles per gallon.

Our '56 plated 1.2 does about 36 to the gallon round town and about 43-44 on a run.
