When I start my car the engine will come to idle and then begin to shake and cut out completely however sometimes the engine management light comes on and sometimes it doesn't. Also if the car idles fine and when I set off it will randomly lose power and I will have "nothing" in the accelerator so to speak and when I do have power and I put my foot down and the revs build the engine will jolt and misfire and the car will violently jolt forward and back and then lose all power. I definitely think I have a misfire problem but not sure what's causing it I've checked my spark plugs and they seem all in good condition, I think it is something to do with the fuel not feeding into the engine properly can someone please help. I have a 1.2 grande punto

And now the car will not idle anymore when I'm waiting in traffic the engine will just cut out. Please help guys

Have you had the fuel injectors checked?

In the garage Tuesday so I will ask them to check it just didn't know where to start looking so thought I'd ask

Sorry for late response had them red and my MEF sensor is buggared even though I had a new one fitted around 2 months ago

MEF sensor?

Do you mean MAP sensor?

Is replacement an original bosch part?

I'm not to sure I know the garage charged me around £50 for it though
