i have a fiat grande punto 2007, The drivers side window has stopped working out of the blue, when i took it down to the garage as the had to put a battery pack on to do the window up they siad the motor was ok but there was no power going into it, i have checked all the fuses and they appear ok, does anyone have any ideas what this could be???

How are the seals round the window?

Checked the switch is ok? the membrane (rubber bit) isn't worn away?

yes mate the garage said that the switch was slightly worn but nothing to worry about also the seal is like new

Membrane switches are temperamental when they get the least bit worn.

Do you have a multimeter?

Would that explain the lack of power to right hand side though?

Seeing as it's a double switch and one window operates fine is leading me to believe it's a switch issue.

Ah because the elec mirrors control from the drivers side too and they wouldn't work either so thanks pal I'll have a look at switch Sunday and get back to you
