Hey people, as some of you know I own a Punto Abarth with a few mods:
De-cat
3" Full Straight through
GSR Induction
Forge Actuator

My problem lies somewhere with the turbo/wastegate/DV I think. If lets say im cruising at 70 on the dual carriage way and i put the boost to half it will surge and i can hear the dump valve opening and closing constantly which then causes the car to almost surge but if i put a bit more boost on or let off a bit it stops. It also happens in all the gears once i hit around the 3k RPM and the boost is roughly half way! Is this due to the Standard map? or something else? If anyone has any info please share

Have you had the ecu remapped?

Why do you have a 3" and an actuator, 3" is pretty excessive for under 300bhp, probably back pressure, standard car and actuator well wont the standard one be strong enough until you start tuning to over 200+ with extra boooost which i doubt

Hi, sorry its a 2.75" Exhaust, I was going to get it remapped but this problem is stopping me from doing so. I had this problem when I installed the TMC tuning box when i just had the exhaust. I installed the actuator due to the loss of boost higher in the rev range which it now holds.

You need to get it mapped to cope with the mods

The ecu still thinks it has standard parts on so it's never going to run 100% you understand?

Right so ill get it mapped at the end of month and hopefully that will sort it out! If not back to square one!

It does need mapping and fueling correctly etc, your problems could be back pressure, best bet take it to a tuner get the ecu data assessed maybe?

A gud tuner should not tune ur car if it has issues, just make sure you mention your issues etc mate and ask for fixes etc
