It must be, if it wasn't then even in manual mode the gearbox wouldn't be working. When you try and select auto mode does auto appear on the dash

Re: Not going into auto

The pump will only prime if required. If you're just stopping and restarting and opening the door it won't prime as it'll still be under pressure from the last journey. It'll on make a noise and prime when the door is opened if its been sitting for 10+ minutes

Back to my other question, when you try to select auto mode does 'Auto' appear on the dash by the gear selected display

Re: Not going into auto

Woops just looked again and it IS making the wurring noise so my mistake, sorry folks.
Still not going into auto mode and nothing on dash.
Could it be a fuse or something?
Im stumped.
I might give it a little kick.

Re: Not going into auto

No worries. I'm thinking it might possibly be the control stick at fault and not telling the car to go into auto mode.

I'm not sure if it'll work, as might just default to the selected option before being removed, but try disconnecting the battery for 30min to reset everything and see if that sorts it.

Let us know how you get on
