Hi, until a few years ago I had a Punto 55S and have recently changed from a Peugeot back to Puntos and have a Punto Grande.

However, the one thing that irritates me a bit is that when I change the radio station, the old one fades out and the new one fades in. Is there a way to change this, please? It irritates me because I'm only in the car 10-20 mins at a time, generally, and don't want "yap yap yap" from the DJs, so change station when one starts talking. However, I still get some of their guff as it starts to fade out.

I'd just say man up lol don't listen to the radio if you dont like the rubbish talking

I personally just use spotify and my playlists because of that reason, I can't stand the crap talking on the radio and the amount of rubbish that's played

^that. Or just put a CD in, continues where you left off when you next get in the car. :)

Turn the volume down, change the station, turn the volume up...

Other than that, I don't think without either changing the stereo or using an auxiliarydevice for music input that its possible...

Well if the radio switches sharply as opposed to fading stations, surely that eliminates that extra bit of 'yap yap yap'... that the OP is irritated with. ?

First world indeed

wait until the springs break, drop links start knocking, tailgate wont open, electric windows wont go up, rear window winder cables snap, seats wont fold, sump corrodes, glove box wont shut, dash trim pops up, electric steering fails, breather hoses burst, top strut mounts seize.....that'll really irritate him!

Have you been reading my garage bills! :p

At least half those things have happened to my grande in one year of use

OP feel free to change radios with mine. And anyway the stock radio (like all stock radios) is pretty ****e anyway. Why not look at an aftermarket one. I picked up the best radio I ever had from halfords for £40. It looked great, buttons were spaced out perfectly and were sensible. The display was cool (but not OTT chavy) and customizable but the best bit was it had aux input back when aux was pretty rare. It survived my old corsa from 6 years ago and my old i10

Basically what I'm saying is either man up and shut up and live with that tiny fade in fade out or just get a new radio. It's a problem that's easily solved

I have a little experience with Grande's ;)

this where you go on an evening?
