I became the owner of a k&n standard air box filter yesterday. As i want to keep the engine looking as standard as possible. Can hear the intake around 20% louder than the standard air filter. But if I drilled some holes in the bottom of the intake hose would it make it any louder. Cheers chris

It might, but it might also provide a way for hot air to get into the engine.

i assume you mean before the air filter? otherwise you'd be sucking in dirty air and allowing it to enter directly into the cylinders which isnt a good idea.

Why do you want it any louder if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah before the air filter or air intake hose. I had a full induction kit on my last car but I don't want it to be as grunty as that but when I put the foot down I can hear just a little intake. And I went for the standard internal k&n filter so the misses is non the wiser that there's a performance filter there lol. Meant to be saving lol.
