I have recently purchased a 2006 1.3 Multijet 90bhp Grande Punto and have been doing some checks on it. I came to check to gearbox oil and there are three removable nuts, one on the top (which I assume is the fill point), one at a lowest point on the side of the box (I assume is the drain point) and then one further up on the front (I assume is the level check). Can someone confirm this to be correct?

So I removed the one I think is for checking the level oil poured, quite fast, out of the box. It was reddish in colour with a metallic look - almost coppery if that makes sense. This doesn't seem correct so I was going to drain it and put fresh oil in but wanted to make sure I had the right definitions for all the holes.

Thanks in advance
