Hi,

I have a grande punto and when we go camping we always put the back seat all the way down.

But, we still have a shortage on space.

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the entire back seat when going on holiday?
Would this be very difficult?

Thanks

Super easy,...

I'm gonna be swapping mine over this weekend, can get a few pictures if you like..

Just a case of a few bolts along the front for the bottoms,

And a couple for the backs, the ends have a release for the pivots....

Yes please!

I often find the rear seat bases get in the way when folding the seats, they shorten the load bay considerably. My previous car suffered from a similar problem but the seat bases were only held in by wire clips so I used to take them out all the time. Wish the punto had a similar system.

Totally forgot about this,

I'll double check later but from what I recall....

Bases are only held by 3 T20 screws
And the rears are 4/5 T40 As these Include seatbelt clips.
Removal takes 5-10 minutes, hardest part is the release on the pivots,

You should be able to fold the seat bases up towards the front of the car if my memory's working.

Well, here's a quick guide.

3 T20 bolts along the front of the bench.

Fold them forward as you would normally and they'll come out.

3 T50 bolts where the 2 sections of the rear bench connect.

1 is in the boot, folding the seats forward makes it accessible easier.

1 bolt holding the centre belt down.

And with those out all you have to do is release the ends.

Simply pull on the black "plug" type thing towards the seat, may be tight, I've found it easier using a flat head screwdriver and prying it off.

Then the two parts should separate,.

Best of luck
