Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has seen/got this issue...

I have just recently got my 1.9m-jet sporting (great car!) and I have noticed that it pulls to the left, quite a bit, certainly on some roads...

I have had the tracking done which I thought corrected it, but it happened to start pulling left again.
I have just got it back from the garage again, were he has checked over the suspension, relaxed it all and re aligned it and set it up himself.

Upon driving it after this it still seems to pull, not as much but still a bit, hope I'm really not paranoid or that the roads are that bad round here!

Has anyone had this problem or got any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed

Yea have thought it may be the roads...

Have checked the brakes to see if theres any sticking and there is isn't.. Bit baffled and wondered if any has seen this issue..

If anyone does let me know! :)

Thanks again!

Try a 3 lane motorway in the middle or outside lane (yes that may be a bit risky).

Mine pulls left, all suspension ok, been tracked and balanced etc but on the mway it doesn't really unless I have a passenger.

I have :(

With just me or a full car seems to pull  I have been told it could possibly be the subframes.. but can't see anything thats obvious.. or wishbones or tracking rod arms..

I might just try and forget it for now. May purchase a set of the frame tensioners from Forge Motorsport and see if that has an effect and I will eventually be putting it on some lower springs...

New to the forum 'malarky' so maybe get a thread going to :)

Thanks again though!

Do you have to correct steering to stay in a straight line? Noticeably so?

Is it just when accelerating or whilst travelling at a constant speed?

Yea pretty much. If the road is flat it will pull, if its slanted depending on which way it will pull slightly.

More noticeable at a constant speed, not so at lower speeds.

I have the exact same problem mate. Pulls to the left no matter what speed or road (n) Noticed it after i went through a stupid pothole at quite high speed, so i must of bent something. The pulling to the left does get worse though when on a cambered road

Iv had it tracked technically 3 times now! :bang: :(

My last option is to take it Protyre and see if they can align it properly with their laser kit and see if theres something thats not obvious??

I will update on here if I find out!

Glad I'm not going mad thinking its just mine!

Update:

I've not had time to do too much with it, although it may be down to the tyres that were originally on the car when I bought it, the old guy put some rubbish directional ones on and there pretty pants.

Anyone with a recommendation for tyres please let me know, I will be changing them in a few weeks hopefully so will put an update around that time!

Continental sport contact 5s. Excellent grip in cornering and braking, quiet ride, reasonable fuel economy and seem to be lasting for ever.
No point skimping on tyres.

Oh, and for the record, my Punto doesn't pull to the left at all so they don't all do it.

It may well be caused by tyres, cheap tyres should be avoided!

Ive used and would recommend the following on a GPS:

Avon ZZ3
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
Bridgestone Potenza R050A
Dunlop SP9000

Ive listed them in price and wear order (which i found to be the same)

In my experience all were similar in terms of grip, the Hankooks were noticably quieter

If they are directional just make sure they are on the right way. Had a Toyota MR that had directional tyres on and it was pants and took the Toyota garage 3 goes to figure it out. Don't like directional tyres either.
