So today i was prepping the punto for tomorrows trip all cleaned inside and it was such a nice day I thought it would be rude not to put my abarth alloys on 1st one went on easy then 2 then 3 then.... :bang: my already battered locking nut key just fell apart inside  so I have one sporting alloy on and i cant get it off took it to a mate who used to be a mechanic and all he did was made a mess of my wheel  does anyone going tomorrow know how to get it off? and if so will someone do it for me?

Thanks in advance

Jordan.

I haven't got a good socket set a my mate just made a huge mess tbh could still be smashed though I just don't have the tools I do have some touch up paint coming so can live with a coupe of scuffs looking forward to tomorrow guys and thanks for your response I'm surre between us we can have a look at it. I'll even buy ya a drink if you can get it out ;)

what kind of locking nuts are they?? picture if you please

depending what type they are you can just stick socket one size smaller on it with extension bar, whack it on with a 'persuader' and then just undo it, but don't work so well on the completely round ones but i would give it a try anyway..

Also as said the keys are that varied, i lost mine for one car and the other car (lockers bought seperately) had same key

^^ that, but if the collar is off and you can bang a small enough socket on AND its not mega tight (thats alot of ifs i admit) i can still work.. But i would say if you have damaged the wheel already you may as well just bite the bullet and weld a bolt to the locker now and just undo it, simples. I just don't recommend that if your wheels are still all nice for obvious reasons.

Well when it happened I rang my mate (joing us tomorrow his names taggy) I went to see his brother who is the manager at ETS tires and he suggested welding straight away but said it could take 2 hour and didn't have time to see to it and that was that lol if it won't budge I'll book it in with him for next weekend . The damage so far could quite easily be "touched up" and iv already brought a kit off eBay to do that. Like I said we'll see what tomorrow brings and if not I'll have to spend moooore mone on having something else sorted lol if so it would have been in 6 diffrent garages in 4 month lol
Thanks for all your advice on this guys I really do appreciate it :)
