yes they did.......

it not listed in the handbook? not even had the cover off my evo's (same square box with the ((2 iirc)) screws ) since ive so far managed not to drop a 5p piece into the hole

Its cold outside and the manual is burried in my boot under about 3 tonnes of work stuff

I kinda misplaced mine :( since I got mine new nearly 3 years back its never worked! Just didnt think it was a big deal till I found a guide on here which needs the cig lighter to act as a live feed for the cd player

its fuse 86 its a 15a on the new box rather than 20a on the old so your looking for a blue fuse ;)

yes old box was naff it let water in way too easy... that and the advent of start stop (on the evo) and DRL's and various other tweeks..........

you can get a manual to download from here

https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php

That book is for the Punto (not the evo)

you go by number on picture or number in the plastic tray?(check both fiat have a habit of confusing their diagrams and written word)

only thing i can suggest is get one of these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6V-12V-24...092?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item19b7522bcc

clip croc clip to negative battery post then with igniton on probe each fuse...

see step 2

you can see the test point either side of the rating:

check both if one side lights and the other doesn't that fuse is blown

just make sure it works on 12v ;)

only other logical thing it could be is the plug to the back of the socket has dropped

a simple continuity test between the side of the socket and the chassis would soon show if the plug was in

there are 3 wires to it..

red switched ignition supply

black (ground / negative / earth)

Yellow illumination for the glow ring if it has a fag lighter fitted rather than a power outlet

it pulls up but is a right pain to wiggle out due to the shape of it

start with finding the fuse..... then meter the red and black plug before you go ripping the lighter housing out :)

Know this might sound patronising but coming from having a ford the fiat fag lighters are switched by the ignition no key in turned to mar and no power

I'm having difficulty starting a new thread, so I'm being cheeky and asking my question here.
I have a 2006 Fiat punto grande. The rear windscreen wiper stopped working, and boot won't open - this happened within 10 mins of each other. I'm guessing a fuse needs changing but I don't know which one. My hand book is not clear, as the one I thought it would be was for the rear screen washer.
Please can someone help?

more likely the wiring in the boot hatch broken or shorting

Sounds like what Andy Monty said but looking in my book (gf eventually found where she put it) theres a fuse under the dash which controls locking/unlocking its fuse 4 but if the doors lock ect and the fuse is ok then itll be a different area
