Hi,

I've just bought a used Grande Punto from a private seller, and the previous owner had smashed the reversing light, its only minor, but I want it looking nice.

Is it something that is hard to replace? I've found the part online for £25 but the Fiat dealer is quoting me £44, just for the part never mind labour!! I've read that you have to remove the wheel and wheel arch, and that it is fiddly to do because it is behind the exhaust box! I don't want to fork out £44 plus labour for something minor, I'd rather leave it! I'd be willing to buy the part myself and have a go but don't want to cause more damage than good! I'm a bit of a novice but I reckon I could work it out!

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!

Yes this is a very simple DIY job and shouldn't take more than 30mins on your driveway defo worth doing it yourself. Below are two guides to show you the steps required.

Thanks GotGrande!

I will have a look at those guides and have a go!

I've been quoted £86 quid from my local Fiat dealer (£48 for parts), rest for labour!

I've seen the part on the 'fiatparts4u' website, do you reckon that site seems legit? £25 and self fitting beats £86 :)

Cheers :slayer:

Thanks Eklipze3k, it actually works out £1.26 dearer when you add on VAT and delivery :p

But thanks for the info, those discount codes could be handy!!

Are these parts genuine on these websites then? Seem quite reasonable, I just wondering why my dealer would be charging twice as much for the same thing!!
