Hi all im new to this fourm. I have GPS 1.9 and the ride is very hand and is becoming very anoying even my sti impreza rides better. I have hear putting diffrent springs on would make it more comfortable. Which springs should I got for? Also I dont want any lower Im just clearing the speed ramps where I live. Any help would be great.
Thanks

I have a T-Jet and the ride is really quite bumpy, down to its springs and low profile tyres I should think, if I give anyone in the family a lift I have to go quite slow so they dont have an awful ride! haha, dont really know which springs would make it better, a mate of mine has eibach sportlines and makes it bumpier than mine (n) mind you all that said the roads where I live out in the countryside are pretty dam awful (n)

Ive been considering buying a 2004 WRX but a bit worried about running costs, not fiat related but what are the costs like on your sti? you use it more as a weekend car I presume? :)

Hi well the running costs can be expensive as a daily drive. But a wrx should be cheaper. Mines an import so there the extra expence of 99 octane fuel and 15-20mpg not cheap. Sti's have close ratio gear box so at 70mph your doing 4200rpm. in a wrx a lot lower. But saying that parts wise same as any other car and an impreza is the easyest car you can work on you have the engine out in ahour and half. the gear box off in under and hour.

I average around 30mpg in my T-Jet which is fine as I probably only do no more than 8000 miles a year so I reckon I could afford a wrx, I do have a bad habit of just going for a drive all the time though could get a bit expensive! I'd only change a couple of styling things as I think from a t-jet to a wrx is quite a jump in power haha :)

Personally dont buy a wrx. You will regret I nearly bought a bug eye wrx instead I went for a classic sti. Save up and get an sti they hold there values better and every part is upgraded compared to a wrx and you will regret not have the extra power.

I think getting a wrx is pushing it enough if I could afford a sti I'd get one but like I say running costs are already an issue haha can't expect to drive a scooby without costs though
