Today I took a look at my break lights as on of them sometimes stops and causes a warning on the dashboard.

Read the guide on how to do it, just to make it easier for myself.
https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-guides/170508-how-replace-tail-light-bulb.html

Once I pulled out tyhe unit I noticed it's not as in the guides photo's.
There's an extra cable between the car's loom and the units.

I have a Grande Punro 1.9 JTD Sport from 2007.

The rear light, stock lights and not abarths if I'm correct.

Extra plug?
As you can see another cable (two wires) go back into the car.

Could it be that the extra cables are for the "Guide me home" option that's on the car? Leave the lights on for a while if I want to.

that looks like a plug in piggy back splice kit..

has the car got a towbar / tow hook for a trailer or caravan / seperate socket for a lighting board for a cycle carrier?

(as you need to take the right hand side light and indicator feed for the socket) and there are kits made which need no cutting into the original wiring to make the tow bar wiring easy

Dont know if your using a translator which is why i used a few extra words above to try and make it clear :)

No problem (y)

if i was you first step in your brake light problem would be to change the bulb you can get a break in the filament (wire coil in the bulb) which re joins (think welding with electric arc) but alters the resistance

also try a contact cleaner on all the plugs

I replaced the bulb, as there was a loose part inside and the wire was archwelded. Could clearly see that.
Was just wondering about it.

Little of topic but,

I have seen a pair of evi lights on ebay and was wondering if they will fit.
i read a topic about them that the screw holed were in a different place and that they are slightly bigger so they won't fit.

I acually did'nt find anyone testing and confirming that.
Anyone tried it?
