evening dude and dudetts, as some of you who view'd my vl36 upgrade thread will know i recently had the car mapped, it made brilliant results and is now running perty much essesse power out of a t-jet, i do how ever have a new potential problem.
under hard acceleration over 3.5k in 4th and 5th the turbo surges and flutters intermitantly until i let it dump, i have a forge induction kit with a k&n filter and a baileys dv24 dumpvalve.
the only video ive found that has the same thing is this mrs on youtube.


if any one knows what is causing this or how to stop it i would be very greatful as if it is true surge it will be damaging my turbo.

i would take it back to the place that mapped it and get it back on the rollers to find out whats going on

That will be my 1st port of call but there closed today and I took a day off work specificly to get it dun the 1st time rnd so want it sortd asap or I be wifout a car for december unless I wanna blow the turbo up :-(

Sounds like the wastegate is stuck, have you changed the actuator? If you have a boost gauge what sort of boost pressure are you getting when the noise happens?
