the engine light comes on when in 4th or 5th at 3,000 revs and an immediate power loss at the same time. then it is limited to 120 kph approx 3,000 revs ie won't go above this. my mechanic has not seen this one before! after 4 restarts the light turns off. the engine is not as super smooth as it was before this all happened. the fault code is "p0234 supercharging..." can anyone help. is anyone familiar with this issue.

this car is fully serviced regularly and prior to the fiat recommended intervals (which are too long in my opinion). apart from 2 recalls i have never had any issues until now.
