Howdy all

What would be a fair price for this service at the local Fiat dealership for a GPS 130 with <24k miles on the clock. Also is worth still going to the dealership or trying another garage, does it effect sell on value?

So far been quoted £195 for the 18k service.

Get a quote from Delamere Motors Shroppielad... £195 sounds good to me though. Delamere service in accordance with Fiat schedule using equivalent or better parts / materials & are VAT registered, you can find them on Halesfield. I always used them for all my services over 4 years & 74,000 miles never had a problem.

how many services have you had so far? im sort of in same position, mines an 08, its had the 1st and 2nd service(18+36k in dealer terms) but ive only covered 26k.. so my 3rd service thats due in may is 54k service in fiats terms...

1st and 3rd (18k + 54k interval ones)services are the cheap ones, the 2nd/36k is the slightly dearer one as valve clearances are checked/adjusted and brake fluid changed.

hope that makes sense?!?

just read what i just wrote and it doesnt answer the original question lol

basically what im sayin is,,, whatever price you paid for your 1st service, should be the same as your 3rd year service as they are the same in terms of whats carried out.

Think I paid £100-150 for each of the first two services due to my annual mileage only being around 8k.

The woman in service today said I'd need an 18k servive and that would cost £195... She also asked if I had air con, which I have - not sure what difference this makes mind you.

lol they always ask me that too, and "do you have a dpf?" i always say you tell me , you have my chassis number lol!

I got a quote of £180 odd for service parts alone today... Includes everything you'd want to change (oil, oil filter, pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter)

For Fiat to do it they'd want between £300 and £350

That's a 3rd year service plus pollen filter and fuel filter (they don't normally do them on a 3rd year service apparently?)... Fuel filter is £58 alone!

Will be going to my local indy and getting a quote me thinks! This is my first service with the car and want to treat it properly!
