Hi!
My GP 1,3 Multijet is 3 years old and have driven around 90k km. I started this summer to get problems with the gearshift - especially when the weather is warm. The problem is that when moving the stick it doesn't go back to the middle. Like if i go from 2nd to 3rd gear i have to first push the stick to center and then into 3rd. Normally it would just go to center when I take it out of 2nd but now i have to give it a push. Does somebody know the solution for this problem?

I hope you can help!

Best regards
Thomas

Thanks! Just to make sure... Where the stick sits I have to remove the leather cover and lubricate the white plastic parts down there or do I have to disassemble something first?

no its on top of the gearbox.

you see where one of the gear cables moves a arm, you will see the long bolt that goes through it. Undo the nut and withdraw this nut (its likely to be seized in) then clean lubricate & refit.

I'll try & get a pic

hope this helps

OK thanks! I'll try it. I already gave the cables some pava 'cause they were a bit rusty and I thought that could help. But I'll try to lubricate the bolt as I can see on the photo.

Thank you very very much! That seemed to help a lot. I didn't pull it all the way out but only some and then i could lubricate it. It's like a new gearshift now :)
