I have a 1.2 GP.

I have 15" alloys and already lowered on apex springs. (35mm drop)

The gap from wheel to arch is still huge (2inchs)

What do you recon would be a wiser option.

1. Coilovers.

2. Eibach springs

3. Eibach springs and 16" alloys?

Just thinking, would the springs and wheels option be good enough and close the gap or should i spend a bit more money and play it safe with coilovers.

All opinions welcome! Cheers

TBH id upgrade to 17" wheels on eibach sportslines or coilys. If not 16's on the same.

unless im mistaken the rolling radius of any new wheels you put on should be within 2% difference of what you already have. so it wont take any gap away from the arch, just look nicer.
so start of with lowering to your liking then look at wheels....

agreed, 17"s would be the best looking without giving up to much comfort in the rubber department. any less than 40 feels like yer running on rubberbands lol
i would still get the lowering sorted before blingin the hoops, nothing looks worse than sorted wheels and a massive arch gash:rolleyes:

Thanks for all the response. I do want to treat my self but dont want to spend unneededly.

17's wont have any affect on my gear box no? As i only have baby 1.2!

Im going to deff get 16's or 17's. Find some nice wheels and see the price difference between each size.

Just weather spings or coilys?

Could you not just get the speedo recalibrated for bigger alloys etc?!

I've always thought to myself if I was going to lower, I'd do it properly with a proper kit, not just springs.

I guess it depends what will raise your insurance more!?

16's all the way down on coilovers.

Personally on the 16's where i have marked in red is a bit to much of a gap, but in the blue it is spot on ... BUT dont get me wrong, still looks danm sexy!
