I have a Grande Punto '07 and just today my door light was flashing even though all the doors were closed. Then at the end of the day, my drivers door wouldn't shut properly. It's now shut after trying a few times, but the door won't lock. The car is locked (boot/passenger side door), but you can still open the drivers door even when it's locked.

I've tried using the key to lock it, but it won't let you turn the key enough to lock. I've looked at the clip inside the door and it looks fine.

Can anyone help? The garage are wanting to charge me £100 before they even look at it!!!!!!

sure you didnt phone BT by mistake?

NO garage would chcarge you £100 BEFORE looking at it.

They were charging £80+vat to look at it as they say it may be something to do with the central locking - however i think it may just be the door catch?

Go to a different garage. Sure they will need to charge you some labour to find out what the problem is but £100 is outrageous unless that is their set price to fix it no matter how long it takes to fault find and repair.
