I think so.

As much as i like this car the constant sh*tty little problems that this car has is beyond a **** take now. Goes into the garage to sort 1 and comes out with another. I think the only time i have had this car working properly with no knocks, bangs or rattles was when it was 2 weeks old. Since then its something going every week or developing new rattles. Every garage it goes into cannot find any problems despite me pointing them out to DET's and them agreeing they are there. Im losing my patience with it now (and the dealers) :( I want to finish it but when it is constantly breaking i cant face putting the money into it. Never thought i would say this but i am seriously considering going to a manufacturer that can build a solid car. Sick of all the **** taking.

Anymore for anymore?

I know mines older and a different model but I am also annoyed with all the knocking and rattling.

Only way I can combat it is to turn the music up stupidly loud which then makes the whole car rattle :p

TBH my 2b was better built than my GP lol

 what you on about? you are always saying it

No i dont. Ive always said it has had the odd thing here and there but recently it has gone beyond that. I just want something that works all the time and doesnt sound like bits are gonna come off as im driving down the road.

I must agree with you on your original post, i myself am getting tired of ferrying back and forth to the dealers with problems that a 2 year old car with under 24k on the clock just shouldnt have, if it wasnt for the finance i have on the car restricting me from selling i'd be looking for something else :(

get what you pay for at end of day. grandes are cheap for the car/power you get, but arent built quite as well. they dont really fall into the well built price bracket of golfs etc. more money = better built car in MOST circumstances. pay less and get problems, or pay more and get less. or find those gems that people get that never seem to go wrong, but thats just pot luck . .

I know this i dont need lecturing on it as it is why i got it originally, semi quick car good spec. But it is beyond a pisstake now the amount of problems that this car has had and continues to have.

wasnt lecturing just saying. but yeah fair enough! you thinks its related to the fact its running more than the engine is supposedly designed for at all? not beign a pro in cars engines wouldnt know how much of an effect this would have?

Not really as the same engine runs near enough 200bhp in the AGP SS with new injectors turbo and manifold so 150 is nothing for it. The engine has been fine anyway. Its everything else on the car that causes the problems. Ive had fiats for 4 years now. A mk2b for 2 and then this is coming up for 2 years. I swapped because i was at uni and thought that a new car = less to go wrong. How i was wrong. I am willing to put money on that if i had kept my mk2b that it would of had a shedload less problems than my GP has had. I could live with the problems if dealers were capable of fixing them but out of the 4 dealers i have used 1 has only managed to sort of the odd problem and in the mean time created another.

I agree with you there Matt, sometimes Im left wondering if I would have been better off fixing my Stilo and living with that for a few more years. The warrenty is useless, dealers are not great and its the details that cause the problem. But it still looks great, and goes like stink

Been down this route even though I'm happy with mine Matt.

Try listing the better cars in the same price range and group...

It gets tough to do, been said before above, spend more maybe get better, most better cars in the same group cost more, sometimes LOTS more.

Astra, Golf, Honda Civics, Kia C'eed.... theres a big list, all with their own +'s & -'s. If cost isnt an issue go for one of those almost new or new even.

I'm still happy, but then the only mod I got is the re-map... suspension is fine, brakes are good, no rattles, OK the EGR went.. expected it to but it did 62,000 miles before it got clogged.

Thing is i sell mine now for what 8k maybe, i put in an extra 4k and i can get an Astra VXR which is built better and alot quicker than my current car. If that 4k means im not making trips to the dealer regularly then its well worth it imo

No arguments here, but as we all say to the Noobs on here... show me a car that doesnt have a Forum of people with problems...

I've looked... all makes have them, as you say its the Dealer Network thats the key... are Vauxhall any better?

Difficult one Matt, I had plenty of VAG products - Seats that spent loads of time being fixed.

On the whole my Fiat ownership has been OK so far, two Stilos and now the GP.

My Mjet is coming up for 4 yrs in March, with 23,000 mile. It is pretty much spot on with no rattles or squeaks. Perhaps I am lucky.

I have tweaked it Brembos and remap and I am having a LSD fitted in a couple of weeks but then I always play around until I am bored.

At present there is nothing I want within reason, not even a GP Abarth.

Hope the love can be rekindled!

They dont seem to have anywhere near as many problems as we do on here lol. If there are problems then there are alot more vauxhall dealerships within sensible distance than Fiat ones for me!

And thats the problem i have, do i risk going to a supposedly more reliable company and then get a car that is worse?
