If you were buying new now, which one of these would you go for?

Personally i pick Evo despite the amount of "ITS FUGLY!!!" comments on here alot of the people havent actually seen one in real life yet, pictures dont do it any justice. And i've just bought one

Grande Punto of any worth while spec isnt avaliable new anymore unless you get pre-registered (all i was offered)

Theres the Grande Punto Sound, but thats pretty bottom-end of the punto range now unfortunately

Better MPG / Better Performance / Better interior / Quieter / More Tech = Evo. (Compared to the Punto Sound)

Not if you want to order it new,there may be some already built that are knocking round the dealerships.

Evo. Lots of detailed improvements; far more attractive interior - and better, much better, engines, having power, torque and class-leading economy.

Unless you really really can't afford the initial price it's a no-brainer.

With scrappage you could get £3500 off a grande punto, only £2000 off an evo.

I was going to use Fiatsupasaver, but they didnt have the Evo's on there website

They have just (as in since 1pm today) added Evo's & Prices etc, there prices are brilliant considering there that low without using scrappage or trade-in, so you'd get £2500(give or take £100) off an Evo + keep your own car for selling on privately etc.

Well worth calling em etc.

I have found a Punto Evo Sound for £6995 supposedly saving £2800 with scrappage. Does that sound like a good deal?

Depends what you want from the car.

Theres not Punto Evo Sound, theres a Grande Punto Sound which is below the evo, its just a Grande Punto thats been stripped to basic 3d or 5d 1.4 form.

But for £6,995 for a "Grande Punto Sound", it sounds like a good deal... if there insisting its the new "Evo" then id be warey, as the Evo has only just appeared on sale there's still lots of confusion out there, so alot of typo's are being made.

Apart from the 500`s , those prices are as good as scrappage prices. So what is the point of the scrappage scheme?

The Evo's the new Evo body & new interior, and have a range of engines & long list of extra's depending on which model you pick... the Grande Punto Sound is just an old grande punto look with a generic setup & limited extras.

3HB is believe is a bad typo for Doors.... 3dr basically.

FiatSupaSaver are very good price wise, not seen anyone else that even comes close!

The 135 bhp petrol Evo with the new Multiair engine can better the performance of my 130 diesel Sporting and has better fuel consumption. I never thought I'd be saying that.
It's a shame about the Hyundai lookalike front end though. I prefer the more aggressive Maserati-like old one. Mind you, if FIAT would also copy Hyundai's warranty I'd forgive it that.
