Before I start, the car is a Grande Punto 1.9 M - Jet
(Re-Mapped by Red Dot)

The other day I was just driving down the road and my car just started shouting at me  *bleeeeeeep* this and *bleeeeeep* that

Now my power steering, ESP, ABS, ASR, EBD(I think that's what it said) and Hill Holder is temperamental.

Does anyone have any idea on what it could be ?

I'm kind of broke as I lost my old job and only just got a new one 6months later and have a lot of stuff to pay with my first few months wages, so I can't just be trying all sorts to fix it.

I mean, yeah it now feels like a real car and I'm not sure if what I'm about to say will kick up a fuss as I know some people in have strange minds and love arguing ;)

It seems faster :)  :D :p but not by much as I seen my mate at a set of lights last night and turned round and got next to him, we haven't had a race in ages and we both knew we was both thinking the same thing :slayer:

We was identical !! 100% no different, so we had a re-run and another re-run and still 100% identical, apart from the screaming v-tec noise from his car.

Where as I am usually falling behind slowly.

Am I right in saying that some of the temperamental things slow the car down when the're on ?

Does power steering, or any other electronics use up some of my power, and if the do then how much as I am thinking of having the power steering turned completely off if this even gives the smallest ammount of power (sorry if I sould silly but I'm being serious) :D

Also.. GSR or BMC CDA ? (when the time [money] comes)

Thanks for the help (if you do help)

Low battery might cause odd erroneous alarms to flash up, or a loose battery terminal maybe? If the ASR is off it might be quicker in the dry...

Thanks Ffoxy, I'll get the AA to change the battery for £25

I'll report back (y)

I just bought Grande Bolts wheels, what do you think of them ?

Assuming you know him :)

I know of him DTP, anthracite aren't they, same as mine I think.

£25 on a diesel.....get a decent battery.

('riding' the brake pedal can cause these faults)

I have cover with the AA, they replace most stuff (including battery) up to £500 for £25 up to 5 times a year. (y)

He advertised them as Metallic Black, they look met black in a picture and lighter in another, they look nice anyway :)

Should be picking them up Tuesday

Thanks T, I'll check all that tomorrow morning.

If the problem is still there after checking all what you said and battery change then it's going back to the garage that just done all the work after it was plowed into sideways by a saxo at about 50-60mph, the garage gave me 5years warranty on all work and I know they fiddled with the electrics.

There the last resort because they'll have my car for about a week or more if I give it them.
