Hi Guys!

Still having problems with my car after the whole MOT failure due to a power steering fault.

The guys at grays garage warwick did a calibration test on it and it came back ok and are now suggesting a new steering column.

Does anyone know if a simple camber re-track could be the answer to my problems?

Symptons are:

+Car drags to the left.
+Steering is much more loose anti-clockwise, but toughens up when turning clockwise.
+And lastly the guys at the MOT centre said there was a power steering fault.

check rims.see if they are bend a little. and the steering responce is adjusted by the castor angle not camber.:)

Had the tracking done today at HiQ. Turns out it was miles out! The print out proves this aswell. Car still veering to the left though. Looks like new steering column time! :)

Oooh, this sounds a familiar story. My MJET's in with FIAT today for veering to the left, sometimes this feels quite harsh on the motorway to the point where a long drive hurts my right arm pulling the car back straight.

Hopefully find out whats up later on :)

News just in from Blackburn FIAT.

Its a broken spring!

Guessing the car is sitting lower on one side than the other hence the pull. It appears to be a recuring theme as we reach 3 years, but non the less its a warranty item so brilliant!

Maybe this isnt the case with yours though... be worth a look maybe.

Does the following happen to you?

Steering is much more loose anti-clockwise, but toughens up when turning clockwise?
