Hi guys, Ive got a 07 fiat punto 1.4t T-jet and Ive brought a new K&N 57i induction kit for it and installed it today. It makes a weird noise when in low revs and high gear, doesnt sound very good at all! sounds ok when i put my foot down and a little bit like a dumb vavle when the turbo kits in is it meant to? plus did have a cheap induction kit from wilco £25 and sounded the same i dont think the money i spent on k and n was worth it!! any ideas on what i can do about the sounds in low revs? plus want to get a good full exhaust systems for it!! cheers :bang:

k&n 57i the cheap one from wilco was probably better

lol thats how its meant to sound. I would take both of what you have bought off though and put standard airbox on till you can afford a proper induction kit

You are on the wrong way bro. Noise is just consequence. It's changes with the admission piping lenght, or so. In turbo cars it changes too. Both increase power and change torque curves(Usually).
You'll not feel big differences between K&N and Wilco when we are talking about power and noise, but you'll see it after a long time.
K&N Air Filter elements are some of the best in this range, aside as Apexi.
Good sports air filters are good filtering air but with good air vasion, not making noise, as I said before, its just a consequence.

deep roaring with sporting filter at low revs?? man there must be something wrong!! mine s doing the same!! when I put throttle down at 3th gear and 2k its like mig landing- I like it, I like it much
