Has anyone had any problems with first gear on any 06' puntos?? It goes in but I have to do it very slowly and it feels like its crunching. It's only done 13000 miles : S

I think it could be your EGR valve, I got this problem, but it doesnt grind. You need to check the pipe that goes to your EGR valve to see if it has a hole in it, if not then I got another thing for you to try...

the box is linked to the gear lever by cables it sounds like these need the tension adjusting by the dealer

He is talking about it being hard to get into gear and it crunching. Even if it did have a DPF it wouldnt make any difference to this

My 07 GP Active does the same - I have to be a bit forceful with it to get in in 1st properly. All other gears go in smooth as a babys B-hind lol. I've only had it a month though (first car ever
), so am new to all this - still learning what's urgent and what's not regarding problems etc lol. Is this something worth getting checked out sooner rather than later, or just waiting til service come up (June-ish) and mentioning it then...? I don't want it to break on me while I'm out

If its under warrenty I would tell them about it. I had this when I bought it, took it in and been perfect ever since!

just take it straight into Fiat? would they keep it in at all or is it a 10 mins 'fix-as-you-wait' jobby?
Could be atleast half a day, depending on how much work they have on. Give your local Fiat dealer a ring and explain it to them and see what they can do!
