Im looking at fitting front fog lights on punto gp 1.2, just wonderin do i need to fuse them or can just connect straight up to button? cus i have heard you can over power if they are not fused and can cause lots of problems :D

cheers

here you go Will do it properly or get someone else to do it, Badly wired and terminated electrics can cause a serious fire (as a mate of mine experienced fortunately he had a Halon fire extinguisher ((yes this is a fair few years ago))

You should NEVER wire fogs simply via a switch as unless you have a high rated switch it will overheat due to the excessive load...

have a read of this

20 amp fuse after the battery then 2x 10 A after the relay (one for each lamp)

(well that's what i used anyway)

Lee there is no harness in the GP and you can't make use of the blank or original relay positions

ok sounds a bit more complicated than i thought it was going to be, thanks for the responses, got a quote from fiat that they would supply the lights and fitting for £190 this any good??

No the wiring isn't there and there is No easy way of putting it in as it is in the factory as it would require a new multifunction switch bank Re-programing /replacing the the Body computer (as they are controlled Via that) getting the extra wires into the fuse/relay box

Try a decent auto electricians should do it much cheaper than a Dealer...
