When my engine on my gt is running at about 2000rpm there is a noise from the engine, sounds like a dry engine bearing. Been into garage and they replaced a pulley bearing. Still there, any ideas???

Yeah.....take it back, and keep taking it back until they sort it out

Ive been hearing this noise recently when I change gear. Seems to be loudest in 1st to 2nd, and makes the noise at a certain moment when i apply the clutch. No change to performance tho

I have a 1.9 MJET and i had a noise that i thought was comming from the engine at around 2000rpm, turns out it was the near side front wheel bearing which when replaced the noise had gone, maybe worth a shout.

is it when the engine is cold, or is it all the time?

My car has had this noise, been to the garage who have said it is the near side wheel bearing. I'm waiting for them to get one in stock so they can replace it. The other thread about this is :

I've got a similar noise to this on my 1.9 MJET.

I'm on the waiting list for a new driveshaft. Can you believe that the ETA is January

Thanks guys, definitly not a wheel bearing, noise is there when just revving the engine. Noise is always there, hot or cold. really annoying, dont hear hit with the radio on full blast tho haha.

air filter or exhaust prehaps?
