What is your opinion about these kind of things-improovements for tjet?

http://www.testacorse.gr/index.php?module=product&product_id=208&language=english

I know that a remap is generally better but on the other hand i've never heard someone promising 27 Nm of torque with a remap. It also offers a 152bhp on the flywheel which is a good number.
And its plug n play I mean whenever you want to go for service you can remove it so you dont have problems with the waranty or insurance.

However I've heard that these kind of mods may not be good engine life. Do you know anything about that and what is your opinion

My friend has a box on his car, (diesel) it is quicker (marginally) but not anything like as quicker as they promised and it smokes like crazy. I think these things should be left alone. Ive heard all they do is over fuel the engine.

183lb ft = 248Nm. That means that you get less 20Nm torque which means lower acceleration and this is without an induction kit.
By the way BMC Cda induction for tjet is on the way and I'm going to get one.

yes but it promises a significant torque icrease let alone the bhp increase which is something expected to happen

The box lies. You cannot get more power than i have out the Tjet without putting a bigger turbo on it. GSR will be better positioned than a CDA.

I have never talked about more power. They promise 152bhp on the flywheel and that is where IHI turbo limits are. I'm talking about the more torque that box delivers which propably means that you get higher turbo pressure at middle-range rpm (than yours as an example).

about Cda: possibly Bmc will releases dyno results and we will see. Up to now noone knows....

power torque im refering to it as the same thig. Im sure if peter could of got more torque out of a tjet on a remap he would. I dont see how a plug in box would get better gains.

the torque in middle range rpm is closely connected to max turbo pressure (especially in our cars) . IHI VL37 theoritically can deliver up to 1,6 bar in 3000rpm. The max pressure I have heard is about 1,35bar with 26Nm torque.
The true question here is if that thing manages to deliver higher pressure than programmers have managed to deliver up to know.

Somebody I asked told me that this box has a program by some English tuner which (program) is is very famous for all tjet engines (both 120 and 150 editions) especially in Italy

Im just going to repeat exactly what i said before -

if your so sold on the box, get it! why ask our opinions then shoot people down when they suggest a live remap is better! .....thats because it is ;)

come on I 've already told here that a live remap is better. Am I clear?

I'm asking if it is better to buy one of those boxes or getting a remap not because I dont realise that remap is better but because this box has other positive points apart from power and torque increase. So let me explain myself. First of all, its plug n play, that means you can remove it whenever you want to go for servicing or so. 2nd if you are not satisfied with the result you just put it on ebay getting some money back and then go for a live remap.
The thing that i dont really know is how these boxes work and if they have negative effects on engines life, and here is another point I want to hear your opinion

I no expert but i have learned enough to not go for a box, I belive all it does is over fuel your car, which, in some power ranges will make the car faster (because its getting more fuel) and in other do nothing but generate black smoke. My friend has one and is selling it and getting a re-map. They are not great. I dont know about engine damage but because no-one really knows then that is bad enough for me. Another point is if you (god forbid) crash your car and are unconsious then your insurance company might have something to say about a box plugged in.

I dont trust em, get a remap all the way.

Also if your not satisfied with a remap they will put it back and give you a refund so you cant lose?

Thats normally if its a diesel..

But this time it´s petrol, and i know the G-tech/scorpiontuning.it have got very good reputation from there boxes on gpabarth.com

I think I will go for the bravo box, buy the turbo charger from it on bolt in on my Grande punto T-jet... then you got 172 hp and 270nm..

Buy a torbo charger and risk it with a box? i dunno mate, wouldnt be me.

What risk???

I can´t see a risk, and the people from italy talk good for these boxes...

Scorpiontuning.it takes over the garantee on the engine, if you buy on of those boxes....

but Scorpiontuning.it has also develop 2 other kits one that will gain 202hp and another 220 hp
