Hi all
been searching everywhere on this forum and others and it doesnt seem to be possible to fit a blow off valve with free flow (not recirc) due to the flow of air being monitored BEFORE the turbo in other words the sucktion side.

If you were to place the BOV between the turbo and the sensor (right side of engine block when looking from the front of the vehicle (just below the black/yellow box with the cables sticking out)) wouldnt you be able to make this work? Or would it be necessary to fit a recirc valve instead? And is the sound from the recirc so much different from the one of the free flow?

Thanks in advance

blow off issue (with pictures)

Hi
okay when looking at the picture attached...

The green circle is my problem! Because this lets the fitting of a free flow blow off impossible! BUT if i clog up the holes and remove the pipe(s) at the green cirkle and reposition them at the orange one, then fits my free flow blow off at the blue cirkle (or the other way around (pipes at blue cirkle and blow off at orange)) will this work???

Thanks in advance

Re: Blow off issue answered! (sort of)

HI, where did you find this picture ? Have you asked the owner ? I'm interested in getting one myself but the agent time and again told me only the re-cir ones work due to the air flow sensor.

Re: Blow off issue answered! (sort of)

there is a type of blow of valve that does both functions corectly. It lets some air to the environment while it return the most of it back to the induction. THis can be achieved is by using 2 springs in the blow off valve
