I think you might be the first from here to get it done.

You are a guinea pig for all the other T-Jet owners on FF now. Have they been able to give you any rough ideas about the power increase. I know they can't be specific but have they given any indication?

To be honest i havent asked i dont really care i just want a bit more grunt from the engine so i can kick some m-jet arse:yum:

someones got a m-jet chip on there shoulder i think?:D

lol if your re-map is successful then i'll be havin mine done next summer, toot toot 150bhp hopefully

and still no remap for the 1.4 16 v which had been out for ages i feel hard done by !!!!

Sorry guys bad news angel tuning came down and spent 4 hours on the ecu but could not finish it off. They said they were 95% done but could just not crack it. So theyve got a ecu from a fiat dealer now and are working on it. They said that i would be looking at a 35 bhp increase. Awesome. So hopefully ill be getting it done again in the coming week or two.

no way sorry to hear that mate, hope you get it done soon, 35bhp increase sounds awesome. can't wait until the summer now when i get mine done lol. how much is it costing you?

It is possible to write to it and read from, but there is no point trying it as the checksum re-calculator is not available as yet.

We are currently undergoing testing on this engine. Once we we know exact power figures and reliability factor we will be releasing the relevant programs as well as programs for hard ware tuning upgrades.

35bhp increase is awesome, thought you would be looking at 15-20 tops. Will kick the 1.9 sportings remapped arse.Think this has swayed me towards the t-jet now.

LOL

Considering the M-jet receives a higher torque and bhp gain, I don't think this will be the case.

Turbo petrols receive less gains from remaps than common rail turbo diesels.

i was refering to off the line speed. The lighter t-jet with 150ish bhp or the nose heavy diesel with 165-170ish bhp.I think it will be the tjet

I am also referring to the line speed.

T-jet owners seem to think their cars are race lightened, and it is the torque of the M-jet that will beat the t-jet not the bhp.

The weight difference in the t-jet is not enough to counteract the power difference of the M-jet.

Lets put it this way, I am considerably faster than standard ibiza cupras and they are 155bhp 1.8 20v Turbo.

And just to back up what I am saying:

The M-jet weighs 1205kg and the t-jet weighs 1170kg which means with a few calculations comparing a remapped t-jet (based on 155bhp) and a remapped M-jet (based on 177bhp (mine)).

M-jet power to weight: 146.89 bhp/tonne
T-jet power to wieght: 132.48 bhp/tonne

Therefore proving to dillusional T-jet owners that yes in fact a remapped M-jet is faster than remapped t-jet.

Has anybody even quoted torque figures for the t-jet yet?
