Just got me Punto Mark 2 back from Priory Fiat in Cambridge and they did a 24k mile service on her, and they treated like royalty.

They had a courtsey (sorry about spelling) car ready and it was booked in for 1pm but dropped the car off at 10.15 and they rung me up at 12pm to say it was done.

Plus they had washed inside and out and then parked it on the forecourt ready for me to collect.

I couldnt believe it, last year went there, they didnt treat me as nice.

Car runs lot better now since service.

I wouldnt of recommended Fiats of Cambridge, but after todays performance i would give a 10/10!! And recommend them!!

:D :D (y)

You are joking aren't you mate? I brought my car from Priory Fiat in Cambridge, and I have to say I think they're crap! They never even spotted the three paint defects on my car (One is still getting sorted) They never want to fix anything. And the last time something went wrong I had to beg for a courtesy car! I think you got off quite well on that visit.....

Priory fiat in Mansfield are also Sh*te. Bought the car from them and the sales team were excellent, and did me a great deal. The aftersales service(there's an oxymoron) was dire. I felt as welcolm as Prince Harry at a Barmitsva. Since then i get my car serviced at Stoneacre in Scunthorpe. Service is good, senior mechanic knows his stuff and doesn't treat me like a retard, and the service reception team are more than a little pleasing on the eye. Top result in the end i think.

Now this is more like the Priory Cambridge I know! I've never had mine washed, never managed to get a courtesy car out of them, had to virtually sell my soul to get a lift back to my office (about 1.5 miles away) and they insisted they'd checked my thermostat on three occasions when I asked them to....and lo and behold when it was changed the problem went away! (n) I have NEVER had a good service from this garage and the service manager patronised me when I was trying to describe a problem. I pointed out laws of thermodynamics meant he was talking sh*te and then took my business to Desira Bury - no problem getting a courtesy car and lovely staff who know what they are talking about. Sorry to rant on but Priory have messed about with me, my parents and friends' cars! :(

this is a quote from my missus' brother in laws brother who works in a priory fiat (mentioned already, but we wont go into that)

"never expect a fiat dealer to know the part your describing on the phone"
somthing proved by a work colleague and his diesel Marea, they got the left and right side of the engine mixed up...result..... pulley wheel about 6" short in diameter to the one being replaced

Fiat in Cambridge.............................

Puh! Scumbags!

Offered me £5600 for my 03 Stilo, mint condition, lots of extras, with 12k on the clock against a £12k JTD.

Now here is the best bit, they had an 02 on the forecourt, I took the salesman over to it, asked him the mileage, he said 22k, asked him the spec, he said 1.6 Active, pointed out all the scratches on it, and then asked him how they had the front to have £7995 in the window of that one and make me such a poor offer!

We are a business, try selling it privately, was his response!

If Priory Fiat in Cambridge Suck.......

where should I take my Fiat in Cambridge? I need to be able to drop the car in during the day and then get back to work so it really needs to be somewhere in Cambridge.

Please help! :(

Re: If Priory Fiat in Cambridge Suck.......

I don't know what Priory in Godmanchester are like - I think AdeH went there? could be wrong. I take mine to Bury St Edmunds now. If you have a look in the 'Spotted' thread - there's one for Cambs in there and I think there are a few suggestions in there. Chubbston's local and he goes somewhere in Cambs I think. (y)

I took my Punto into Priory today, and it took them 5 hours to do nothing! Total arseholes. When I phoned up I got the reply "Oh it's you" How bloody nice.......I'm really thinking about getting rid of my Punto, I'm sick of the car and it's "little problems" I wish I could find a good dealer in Cambridge. How are Desira about bringing in a car brought from another dealer? Also, do they treat you like a five year old if you ask for something to be checked?

Mine was bought from Priory and I took it to Desira when it was still under warranty - they were fine about it. The service manager (Gerald) is very friendly and actually rings back when he says he will. I'd recommend them any day - they didn't laugh at me when I asked them to check the thermostat :)

Excellent news. I think I'll have to get in touch with them. So how did you explain to them that your current dealership was crap? I can see the conversation now. "Hi, I brought my car from Priory Cambridge"
(Techie) "I'll book you in right away madam" :)

P.S. what are they like with courtesy cars?

It went along the lines of "Priory are a bunch of w*nkers and don't know a spanner from their a*se". Apologies for the language but after about six trips to Priory and nothing being fixed, I was at my wit's end!! You have to book a bit in advance to get a courtesy car and it's a bottom of the range Punto - bit of a shocker trying to get up the slip road onto the A14 in that after being used to the HGT ;)

Hi Ems, just though I'd give you an update on the DBS/Priory saga. I've booked my car in with DBS Desira in Bury St Edmunds for the 28th of this month. I spoke to Gerald, and told him you sent me! He's a nice chap, sorted me out a courtesy car and listening to everything I said. Let's hope my car can be saved by these guys.........

Excellent stuff, maybe I'll get a loyalty discount next time for introducing new customers ;) but glad it's OK. Hope they do a good job when you go in!

The car's gone in today. They seem to know what they're going on about at DBS, lets hope they sort it! The sad thing is though, I've fallen in love with the Panda they've given me as a courtesy car!

Which was your car specs 78?

Just come back from priory fiat in cambridge, and they are taking me for a ride.

Well basically i was driving on to mill road, and there was a massive clonk, and so i drove to fiats as it sounded like the drive shaft.
Took it to fiats and it took them two days to figure out wat it was, and yes you guessed it, it was the drive shaft. Its not covered under the warrenty, as the punto has none standard wheels and is lowered.

They rang me up at 4pm to day to say the car is ready to pick up, as the problem has been sorted and everything is fine, as they took it out on a test drive.

Got there and payed £278.65 including vat for the work and parts. Got the keys and started the car, all was good, then pulled away, and...........CLONK!!

The car sounded exactly the same as when i took it in on thursday. Now they say its the driver's side drive shaft, and thats going to cost a further £278.65!!

Also wat pissed me off was that its a 80 mile round trip!

So they are going to look at the car in the morning and then let me know wat the problem is but i put £100 its the drive shaft!

Will keep you posted!!

I've got a 1.2 8v Active Sport. Priory are the worse dealership I've EVER known. They are bloody cowboys at best. Try taking the car to another garage and get them to have a look at it. I bet you they've done nothing to the car.
