Here's a plug for an excellent Fiat dealer! :) Unfortunately, they're an authorised service dealer only, but following the attention they've given to both my Panda 4x4 (ABS recall) and Grande Punto 1.9Mjt (failed EGR) I'd highly recommend them. They give exemplary customer service, charge modest rates and their work can be relied on. They prove providing a good service isn't difficult, and this probably due to the fact that they're a family business and have been established many years. I have to make a round trip of 130+ miles to use them, but prefer to do so, despite having two Fiat dealers within a short distance of my home.

They're a bit out in the sticks unless you're very local, but it's a pleasant trip through lovely countryside, so unless convenience is your priority I'd recommend them over the other main dealers in Devon and Cornwall.
Their details can be found on the official Fiat website.
Cheers

I live in west Cornwall, and have just bought a new Fiat. Can I ask what problems you've had, and with which dealers?

You must have been lucky with the technician that looks after your cars.

I took my previous Panda MJ to Sanders at Milton Damerell, (Holsworthy), for it's second service and it was like driving a tractor afterwards. When I got there they didnt have a car to lend me which they promised they would have, and after sitting in the waiting room for almost 4hrs got my car back as the receptionist was locking up.

Drove it home and it was ropey as hell. They hadn't changed the filters or the oil the oil was black as coal when I dipped it.

I didnt bother taking it back, I took it to Vospers at Truro instead. A lot further to go but my God what a difference. Much more courteous, excellent service, lent me a car, and the MJ was like new when I drove it home.

I complained to Fiat about Sanders as I was so angry about what they'd done to my car.

I'd never take a car there again, and I only live 6 miles from them.

Just got our Panda serviced at Sanders today, it had the full 36k one done (the car is a 12 plate 1.2 Easy).

Total cost for the service was £275 inc VAT which IMO is a very good price, and I have to say the people there were first class; very friendly and helpful.

They had everything itemised in full on the service sheet, printed off a fully detailed invoice and also attached the machine readout when they checked the battery.

Also did a really good job valeting the car bodywork and giving it a vacuum inside too.

100% recommendation from me!(y)

good to hear - thanks :)

as it should be really (y)

"percy's" unhappy experience smacks of a "booking error" to me,
whereby the dealer didn't know they were coming ( hence no loan car) , and why only 4 hours from drop off 'til closing..??
that'll be why they only did half a job ( or less)

unacceptable- but if the customer insists they are waiting and not rescheduling.. then I suppose that's what you get :bang:

Yeah Charlie, it was excellent service all round.

The easiest way to sum it up is that I actually felt like a valued customer.

I'm quite shocked to read Percypanda's post actually, it is the complete opposite of my experience. All I will say is that it is a shame that post has been the most up-to-date representation of the garage for the past four years.
