me and my dad went to arnold clark stourbridge and the one in oldbury today.

stourbridge sales man didnt have a clue
oldbury sales man was over confident,cocky and kept flicking his pen and dropping it and was hyperactive and pushy and would not stand still.

so disapointed that there doesnt seem to be anybody who has decent knowledge and makes u feel relaxed.

anyway,,,does anybody know of any decent fiat dealers around the west midlands please? no way going to a.c to buy a car.

Surely if they are advertising for sales they need them perhaps ones they've had are jumping ship in droves?

Not that I would defend AC...my dads experience with them is truly rubbish..
 
thanks we will look into the stafford one. we are from dudley area so would like somewhere within reason which that is thank you.

try platts of longton,theyre quite a good garage,i worked there 4 11 years.

As a brother of a former AC salesman, and a friend of a former AC salesman I can safely say that they reason they have such a high turnover of staff is because...




...they treat their sales staff worse than you would treat a hooker who had just spat in your mouth! Their pay is woeful, and I mean in relation to other car sales forces, and basically there is so much pressure and expectancy put on their sales staff that they either lose them to other dealerships...or they leave for better jobs...or they sack them for being unable to meet targets because they have too many salespeople in one branch.

Another factor I've noticed is that many Sales Managers dont seem to be well liked...making staff leave to somewhere with a friendlier manager...often another AC branch!
 
Can you wait a couple of weeks, Because there is a new Fiat Dealer opening the 1st July in Willenhall/wolverhampton. and i will be working their.

No the Alfa dealer in not closing down it's being extended and we are opening Fiat on the same site as Alfa
 
Colliers (Acocks Green) are great to buy from and useless for everything else like a lot of dealers I suppose. But both of ours came from there and the sales staff are excellent. I dealt with Julie who was very good, kept me informed of progress etc etc.
 
If you get really stuck there is one is Redditch, Worcs (think its called Startins) I know its a bit of a trek for you to drive and i'd say they are ok a few people have had problems with them but they influenced me to get onto Fiat to try and claim under the Fiat Warranty and not pay for £900 worth of work.
 
I bought mine a few days ago from Platts Garage in Longton, Stoke.
They are Alfa/Fiat/Dihatsu/Ssangyong/Proton all in one.

Very friendly.

I went to AC the other week and they were crap.
I said i'd been looking at a 207 and a Punto, he recommended a Vectra and a Passat.
I said they're too big for what I want, im only 21, and I dont have a family.
Also told him i'd looked at a 1.6 TDCi Fiesta Zetec S.

He suggested a Fiesta STi? Sti? Isn't that Subaru?
I said no because its a 2.0 Litre and wouldnt be able to afford insurance.
Then he said "What about just the ST?"
I said "thats what you just said?"
Then said "no this isn't as quick as its not injected."

Should of asked them if it came with wooden wheels as well as the carburettor.
I ended up falling out with him and left.

I went to a different one a few weeks before.
Guy jumped on me just as I got through the door. Wasn't really much help at that one.

Kept offering cars which were above my stated budget and was really clingy.
They don't understand "im just looking".
