Took the car in to Caledonia Fiat in Oldham for a few niggles, namely a leak in the boot which leads to puddles of water in the floor pan !!! I turned up and was told 'we cant look at your car today due to a possible take over bid and have been advised only to carry out pre booked warranty work !! Anyone else heard this ? Typical of the dealer not to tell me untill i actually turned up !

from what I heard it was a surprise to the staff...any other dealers near you?

I have a Richard Cort in Bury but its a bit of a treck , its all the hassle of getting there and sorting out a courtesy car etc....will wait till they call me to let me know what going on...Not had any good experiences from Oldham Caledonia, if they had any ounce of customer service in them , they would have stayed a little late once they found out to ensure all the people booked in knew not to turn up !

Not sure they would be too ethusiatic on the customer service front if they had just been told it was likely they were about to lose their jobs
