Introduction
I found this car sitting at a dealer looking tired, dirty and unloved. Dealer just wanted to get rid of it (useless trade-in vehicle I guess) to make room for his posh new cars.
Now, it's doing the Phoenix rebirth-thing with me operating the tools.
Why the name? Well, I like sleds and this one is indeed small.
Also, I then become 'The MicroSled Driver'. No bad feat for a regular guy on a budget. Check out the link and have a good, heartwarming laugh. If ever there was one who grabbed on to life with both hands and gave it the beans, it must have been Brian Shul; the Sled Driver.

Modifications
New stereo featuring DAB+, Bluetooth and matching colours. Lets me listen to Roon's mobile access function named ARC while cruisin' down the road.
Also, I can then talk on the phone, handsfree. Nice and legal.

Rebuild log
And so I decided - with my rational senses and brain - to replace my existing Citroen C4 Grand Picasso with something that could
But also correspondingly cheap.
My kind of motor. Given it's fairly sound mechanically, this is an easy one; just needs a good (very good!) clean and a little farkles to liven up things.
Well - day two of my ownership I had this experience:

Repair shop fixed the non-starter by replacing the infamous earth strap and I could move on.
Tear the cabin apart to get rid of the brown fumes and replace the lining while I was at it.

Moving on to the functional part of the car; ventilation, filters, engine, driveline:

I suspect the plugs have never been changed. Gap was a whopping 1.8mm on all four plugs, they were marked "FIAT" and were quite rusty. Also, airfilter, oil+filter (no pics of that) were done. Basic maintenance. I'm waiting for an opportunity to replace the coolant (Glysantine G65 waiting on a shelf). Gear oil + brake fluid on the ToDo-list...
But winter's coming and I need the car to be a nice place to stay, so;
Currently working on the nice stuff and externals. Badges, paintjob, lighting, farkles, stereo + handsfree phone:

What you can't see is that I'm working my way through a paint repolish/detailing process. Think C.Quartz 3.0...
Glass/windshield has done 250k km - is slightly sandblasted and wiper-marked. There's a cure for that too: Glass polish using Cerium
And finally there's the wheels:
All-season Toyo's acquired and mounted, but no pics yet.

- Keep me dry in the rain
- Tow a trailer
- Not cost me a fortune in taxes, petrol and whatnot
