Introduction
Here's the sunny summer weekend toy: 1999 Mazda MX5 mk2.
My dad bought her new back in March 1999. He's since gone and bought a mk3.5. Hence this one now sits in a garage. Only done 30,000 miles to date and is near-mint!
My dad bought it as a base model car (with steel wheels), during his ownership he added:
- colour coded mud flaps
- electric aerial
- OEM windguard with rear speakers
- electric windows
- OEM 15" multispoke alloys on Kumho Ecstasport alloys
- black & red leather seat retrim
Since it's been in my hands I've added:
- Alpine iPod stereo
- JBL front components in custom baffles
- underside re-sealed
- OEM Nardi steering wheel & airbag fom a mk2.5
With the old Fiesta...
New steering wheel (lame mobile phone pic)
At the Clacton classic car show in 2011
Still on the to-do list:
- minor amount of refurb on offside front alloy
- remote central locking
- a decent rotary polish and a small dent on a wing to be removed.
