Well I figured I'd ask here because I haven't kept up with this consoles features and what it's released with.

So what's considered hardware essentials and why ?

I thought the standard control pad would be a good option for any old school games like super mario world so I'll have to get that.

But will I need to get anything else like the memory cards or whatever they are doing ?

I'll be buying a component cable for certain too.

Would a GC controller fit in then?
Judging by what you said, the above is a stupid question, read it more as an exclaimation then anything else.

Ahh cheap gaming, Wii for for cheap original and party thrills, 360 for great graphics and online smashing.

I can see the PS3 getting a serious whupping.

One thing to note. If you intend to buy an extra Wiiremote controller for £29.99 then don't. You can get the party pack games with a Wiiremote for just £34.99 and the games look loads of fun for a gaming get together. Particularly the tank one :)

I bought the party pack stated above, a classic controller, component cables, an extra nunchuk, and obviously Zelda :worship: I have a gamecube in the house so I have access to a few of those controllers.
But that classic one looks brilliant, I can't wait to play some of the old stuff again, even though I had them all on my XBox.
