Thats caused by Latency, hopefully it will be corrected in future game updates.

I hope so - cause its not so good at the moment. Game is ok, enjoyable just not as god as MW2. However in saying that it technically cant be compared to MW2 because its made by different people. It should be compared to COD:WAW which was possible the worst game with the worst online multiplayer i have ever played. Black-Ops is considerably better than WAW.

Agreed, created by 2 seperate companies but that wont stop the end users comparing them, especially as Black Ops was based on MWII and is hoping for the same amount of sales.
Anyone bought, or know anyone who has bought, the Hardened Version?? Apparently it comes with 4 extra maps just like the MW2 did. Can't wait to get this game.
Block ALL aspects of MW2 out of your mind before you play it becasue its not the same game and not as good but treat it as its own 'NEW' game and it's actually pretty good.
I was advised to do that only yesterday by my work colleague who bought it. I joined the CoD world from MW2 so I dont know what the CoD4 and World at War was like, maybe thats a good thing ay
COD4 - Good. WAW - BAD, infact VERY VERY bad.
They have made muchos improvements for Black-Ops and its actually pretty good. Won my first gun game last night and one in the champer
It's a very well thought out game - but should of stole the entire game engine from MW2.
Still not bought it but the more I hear about it less likely I will..

Couldn't resist it any longer, the game has been bought last Saturday.
Thanks to a muck up with the misses car insurance (wrongly taking me off her policy untill christmas), I have been refunded a months money, SO... she pursuaded me to get the Hardened Version... If it's worth £69.95 we will have to wait and see

Online I think its better than MW2, but not even half as good as MW1 online.

The claymores annoy me to, as well as the RC-XD - the should be banned. And the stupid spawning points is a big problem as well!

Almost right, It's caused by badly written 'interpolation' compensation code.
Interpolation is used to compensate for variance in latency otherwise known (especially in VOIP) as jitter.
If the code is written badly people with better connections, especially people using BETHERE.co.uk with a 'Fast Path' gaming ADSL profile will own everyone else

I am a bit annoyed with the game, AI on veteran is annoyingly random, not because they are good but because the will be shooting your AI for 5 minutes and then the second you are in view by even 1mm they will pop you!
I have died countless numbers of times with this, Your own AI also take silly positions infront of you/infront of an enemy. Story seems ok, but I have not completed it, not because its much harder than the MW2 but because the check points are about 5 miles apart sometimes and unless you remember by memory what happened before you will never get to it.
However, it will never ever beat COD 1 as the most difficult of the lot to complete on veteran!! that game is insanely hard

Got it as my mates have it when GT5 comes out it will be gathering dust very probably..
