Which is best?

I am going to buy one or the other this weekend (full band in a box set-up). I had a look at both and they seem pretty similar with regards what you get in the box etc However, which is the best gameplay wise?

I prefer more Rock 'n' Roll type music (Oasis, The Clash, The Jam) which Rockband seems more orientated towards than the heavy metal thrashy stuff (AC/DC, Gun's 'n' Rose's etc) which Guitar Hero seems to be more orientated towards.

It's be the PS3 platform I'll buy it on.

Just wondered if any you guys had played either and which you would recommend to buy?

I would say get the Full Band for Guitar Hero World Tour, and then use the "better" controllers on the Rock Band game if you want to buy that as a standalone; I believe they are compatible that way.

I have only played GH:WT though.

We played Rockband at college which was a lot of fun, but there where 15 of us playing it (not at once), but I have GH at home which I like more, but only because of the music.

Guitar hero ftw!

The drum kit on GHWT is 100 times better. Far better built and has cymbals.

Although I kinda prefer the Rock band guitars.

Guitar Hero deffinately, espescially cos GH Metallica is due very soon and with this playlist it should blow Rockband out of the water

Plus as mentioned the instruments are a lot better on GH.

I have GHWT and the drums are better than the rock band ones imo.
My mates rockband drum kit feels well flimsy and makes a lot more noise when you are drumming away.

Definately Guitar Hero World Tour its got loads better songs on it and last months Also you will only need to buy the Rockband game on its own (just the DVD) if you have GH as the guitars and drums on GH work on Rockband where as the Rockband ones dont work with GH
