ok couple of things aint working on the coupe

1:no brake lights
2:no horm
3:no power to stereo area
4:no sunroof power

was thinking fuses but cant realy get into the fusebox to see whats what as its right under the dash and other thought might be a harness damaged anyone else got any ideas

Definitley sounds like a fuse or two! Horn, Stereo and Sunroof could be on the same fuse, but i'd have thought the brake lights would be a different one...but i could be wrong. Although in saying that on the Mk1 Punto the sunroff has its own relay in the glovebox :?

If its not fuses then I think you may have a problem!

yeah was thinking that but the garage that it came from was so bad at maintenance it realy should be closed down for it i mean when we got the car back up and ran it through our own sort of service and inspection there were no pads on the rear right down to the pad holder and the rear guard of the disc crumbled when touched no oil in the engine a bit of paper used for a lid on the washer bottle original stereo was pulled out and replaced with an old fiat one but wasnt connected up just sort of lying in the hole it just seems they have been playing about with all the elecrics for some reason but if i can work out why brakes and that arent working i can get hold of the parts easily enough from local scrappy with coupes in it

im not even going to attempt to read that without punctuation

try changing all the fuses as stated above, go to halfords and buy a new set and use your manual to change them all for the correct ampage

why to god did he buy the car then? after hearing all that you said about it i wouldnt buy a car (especially a fiat) that had been treated that bad just increases your chances of the car breaking down all the time :S

yeah gotta agree that its most probably the fuses but why on earth would you buy a car (esp if you were planning on driving it a couple of hundred miles home with all them problems? :? Surely they must be covered und er the warranty anyways

i aint at school no more so punctuation is an added bonus if i do it and secondly we never knew the car had those problems when we bought it and did look legit but since they are on holiday the day after it was bought cant really do much about it in the mean time.

cool dude, its a bit of a pain its so far away to get it fixed. Was it a garage or private sale?

Good luck gettin it fixed, you making an apperance with your beast this weekend?

Its may just be one fuse that works for all of them, i had problems in my Puma where i lost my sidelights at the front, one tail light, number plate lights at the back, all the interior lighting. It was all down to a short in a wire for my heater controls that was tripping the fuse for all those lights! so if you have a blown fuse change it and keep an eye on the fuse, if it keeps blowing you have a short somewhere

i dont think any of us are at school any more but what you are typing is basically unreadable without punctuation. it makes it difficult to figure out what you are trying to get accross

well the only good news ive had so far is that ive found 2 doors for the brava picking them up tommorrow 30 buck each but need to respray the full side of the car and fix the rear quarter panel dent but the money has cleared in the bank now from the damage on it so all is being started :)

the bodykit has just arrived for the coupe about 10 mins ago but unfortunatly the coupe is in glasgow airport on holiday :) ill hopefully be up and running again by the end of next week fingers crossed
