Oh dear, seems to be one thing after another for you as well. Hope all goes well with getting the new box and clutch fitted

It's all coming Wednesday, to be fair Iv had the car 18 months and 27 thousand miles and only things Iv done is general servicing and tyres only recently has it been bad

Yeah, GPs are rather like buses...nothing for ages and then all the problems appear at once lol

Pretty much yeah lol, I love it too much to sell it but , rather fix it then Finnish off my wee project :)

Clutch ordered , cost £115 for a clutch kit and slave cylinder, gearbox cost £90 plus 30 postage , driveshaft seals were £15 then oil was a fiver off my mate, a great start to the new year, busy weekend ahead! Will post pics cos when it comes to sell can use this as service history ;)

Hey mate spotted your car on west king St at lunchtime looking good cheers

Shelved the idea to get the box from Manchester getting one from Hamilton instead but it's from a 1.4 8v does anyone know if it'll fit ?

I'm guessing FF is going to be the place to ask about this as there's way more GP owners on there and hopefully someone will know the answer. But for future reference can you post the answer on here too? You never know when it'll help someone else

Ended up phoning a fiat specialist in England, they said it would fit but it would be slower and box wouldn't last as long, just means drive carefull lol

Picked up my new gearbox tonight from a guy in Hamilton , can't remember his name but helpful guy knows his fiats, ( the oil is from when I drained the oil and dropped some lol) other pic is from the lows from the sub and gearbox

So this is how my car has sat for the last week, apart from when we had it on the ramp to fix the rest of it while another clutch came so it's had

New rear drums, shoes, wheel cylinder and fitting kit
Witec rear shock absorbers
Timing belt and water pump
Full service (cars done 75k and had original spark plugs :s)
Oil breather pipe
Radiator and
2 fk droplinks

Lost all it's winter shine :( so when's it's on the road going to set aside one day to fully detail the thing

Next plans,

Fk ak street coilovers lower it even more :)
And saving up for some rota grids

Thought I'd put a wee update up, after 2 weeks of my car sitting about we've finally got it driving again ?, feels so much better, just needs the linkage re aligned and cig lighter fuse replaced, taking it into work on Tuesday for a full detail, going back to elite exhausts on Wednesday to have the flexi changed, apart from that will be like a brand new car again lol, will put pics up after Tuesday
