Right, bit of an update. Got a brand new set of lexus lights for free, since someone complained they weren't working. I'm not a huge fan of lexus lights, usually thought they were abit "neddy", but once I got them on i'm actually liking it lol. I've got them working, the wires were in the wrong connectors, so 2 minute fix. They shall be my temp lights until I get new rears ( the ones I have are ruined from the leak, all deteriorating and such)

AND - moving back to the topic of the doughnut who owned the car previously, check out the nuts that hold the lights on. They've been beaten to a pulp...

Here's a few pics - will get more up tomorrow.

Yeah mate, they were buckled like hell. I bought a pair of rear mudflaps, god knows how i'm gonna put them on - the diagram is completely useless. And on the alloys front I think i've found a set of TSW's, look alot like the sporting alloys and include 3 good treaded tyres, 1 brand new tyre - and hardly any scuff marks. Gonna head down to bo'ness sometime next week and hopefully pick em up.

Only question I have is with the punto being 4x98, will these ( 4x100 ) fit with "wobbly bolts" or the 'real' named bolts?(anyone? lol)

Here's some pics.

I've mailed him asking the pcd and centrebore. They're 15inch, with 195/50/15 tyres.

@Mrcento What are spiggots? Have no clue about alloys, never fitted them ect.

they are little plastic rings that fill out the centrebore to stop the alloy moving on the hub, so if the centrebore of the wheel was say 70mm and the fiat centrebore was 58.1, you'd need a 70-58.1 spiggot to correctly fit the wheel :)

Ah I see. He emailed me back, just saying - "they wont fit they are 4x100"... I'm going to assure him about "wobbly" bolts, as I think they will fit, they should do. I hope they do.. lol

Alright lads, not much progress on the ol' gal recently. Got my new stereo fitted, looking great, glowing blue - adding to the colour scheme. So that means I have the blaupunkt CD player for sale if anyone's interested. Like 20quid or something. Will get some pics up of it later, for now here's some recent ones.

[attachment=1:2mmalcti]IMAG0064.jpg[/attachment:2mmalcti]PS. I've noticed alot of condensation inside my passenger side headlight, seal must be broken? Anyone else had this problem; is it a hard fix?

I notice this on my MK2 last weekend - same light.

Sorted itself eventually, pretty sure it's a common fault but I'm sure someone else will confirm/advise :)

It fixed itself after a day or two of sun, but as you all know - that doesn't come very often :p

Put LEDs in my footwell today, DIY style wiring but it all works, and looks awesome. Might make a guide as I trolled the internet trying to find a good one but none were up to scratch.

Here are some pics; as well as my new headunit.

Sorted all of the LEDs, refitted them in a better place. Switch on cigarette lighter for easy "on/off"

To sort out the condensation in the headlight problem.
Remove the headlight unit & drill 2 small holes in the back of the unit.
I had to do that on the Seicento couple of years ago.
Thankfully Dubster doesn't have that problem, otherwise there might be a few expleatices in my psost, like trying to remove the ******* bumper.... as the changing a GP bulb is a bumper off jobby...

it isnt, me and Daz changed his whole headlight units over without removing the bumper

oo, I thought you had to remove the bumper for the headlights on the mk2, couldn't find the places to unscrew. The lights getting better actually, less noticeable now. I'll be saving funds for new headlights anyways after I get a set of alloys, halos I think.

Isn't drilling holes in the back a bit severe? Plus, headlight units have a seal on the back for a reason - keep moisture out of the unit to prevent a short being one I can think of.

I had this issue but didn't sort it before getting rid of the mk2. What I've heard works is if you get a packet of silica gel and put it in there for a day or two if it's fogged. It'll soak up the moisture that's in there at the time. However, I imagine if it is fogging, it's down to dodgy seals somewhere. The unit I had that did this was a second hand cheapo replacement so I figured it was down to that. Caused no end of bother with the electrics going to it after a time - think disco lights

Anyway though, try the silica gel as I say and leave it for a while. If it happens again, then maybe need a new headlight cover seal.

had this really bad on the stilo. ran it with the rear covers off the lights every time it was not raining or wet...... fixed it in a week. to help it along run with your lights on wether day or night, the heat will eventually evap all the water
