Right as you all know Shazes car has been having turbo problems and its away to go pop, I bought a replacement part and the so called part was delivered the other day.

Signed for parcel, thinking its for me but a bit on the light side.

opened bag to find pampers baby wipes(pack of six). The enclosed documents and delivery ticket was for me but underneath there was a different address for somebody in kingswells, whom I phoned to confirm they are expecting these baby wipes.

So I phone the fiat scrap spare part person who laughed but said he get on it, it turns out it was a parcel courier company that uses YoDEL(doh) so what I'm asking is;

What do I do now? do I see if a replacement part can be sent due to the courier company sending wrong parcel(lost?), and if not will I get my money back?:sad:

You don't have to do anything. The supplier is legally bound to get the goods to you and until they do they are not fulfilling their part of the contract. It's up to them to either chase yodel for your delivery or send you a new turbo. If they can't do that then they need to refund you

As an aside, Yodel are a bunch of eejits!! my pal bought a 42" tv, and they were delivering it.

It never arrived, so he phoned Yodel back, to be told it had definitely been delivered which he obv. disputed.

Yodel delivery driver then phoned back, and insisted he had delivered it earlier, saying he had posted it through the LETTERBOX..........

Hmmm......

I won't say what my Mum & Step-dad call Yodel.
My Mum had problems with Yodel, she orderd a book online & it was supposed to be deliverd to our house.
Don't know how many times she phoned Yodel Kilmarnock, who kept saying it wasn't on their system, or it would be delivered the next day. In the end she went up to the Kilmarnock Depot, she got told that it wasn't there. 10minutes later she got told it'd been dispatched.

But as Katie's said, as Yodel (W4NK3R5) have failed to read the English Language & deliverd the wrong parcel to the wrong address, then they have to sort their own mess out (fat chance of that happening), but good luck Steve.

Actually I said the supplier has to chase up Yodel to find the parcel - fat chance of yodel doing that themselves. And having said that I suspect Steve will have to chase the supplier for the original turbo and if that can't be found a replacement/refund. But it is the job of the supplier to make sure the contract is fulfilled and if they can't/won't Steve can take them to the small claims court

Ok, after much pi55ing around, I got hold of yodel who said that they know nothing about a redelivery, so let rip at the company and demanded a refund. They are now allegedly sending another part, not using yodel. :nono:

So heres hoping. :unsure:

I'm sure I read somewhere that yodel drivers get a flat rate per delivery so yeah, he probably wasn't too impressed with having to wait. however, I'd have done the same as you if I'd been messed about previously - if they'd got it right first time you wouldn't need to check
